“Beginnings”
I think about beginnings a lot. Every project and idea is a new start. A lot of feelings come up when you’re in that headspace — some are positive, others negative. The key is getting through to the other side. It takes a commitment to push through, a belief in yourself and the process.
As the year comes to an end, are there beginnings that excite or intimidate you?
Here are some of mine:
Eight years of marriage. Eight symbolizes new beginnings. Angel and I are excited to be more intentional in our marriage with things like date nights, quiet time, and family traditions.
Eight years in business. In May 2015, we launched ACEVEDO Co. We believe this eighth year will bring fresh momentum to our business; success and failure alike.
Parenting a one-year-old. I fear Aevin might see the worst in me. It's inevitable—I'm not perfect. However, I'm actively working on improvement. He's helping me become a better person :)
Take some time this week to write down a few things you're starting. Whether that start is intentional or not, every beginning is a fresh start.
In my experience, committing to these four things has helped me with beginnings:
🧠 Mind: Settle your mind
🖼️ Environment: Delete distractions
🖌️ Skills: Equip yourself
💪 Finish: Seal the deal
