Stuck? Here’s How I Find My Way Out

Today, I want to share some thoughts about being stuck.

Being stuck is not fun. You feel the pressure of your internal angst against the expectations of the outside world.

Takeaway: Be active in your stuck.

Here’s what I mean: go beyond yourself. When you’re stuck, you’re the one uncertain about which direction to go and what decisions to make. Get others involved in the process. This takes humility and vulnerability.

Try:

  • Getting feedback/notes from others

  • Sharing your project thoughts or goals

  • Pushing through, even if what you make isn’t perfect

These practices may not be appealing, but whenever I’m humble enough to acknowledge my shortcomings, I invite conversations and collaboration that lead me where I need to go. It’s great to solve something on your own, but it’s an even better story (I think) when you solve it with others :)

More on this thought here.

Hope this encourages you today. Have the best week!
